Cheers to you and your family! Here’s to a new year in a new decade and a fresh start! 2009 was a memorable one, but so was the whole freakin’ decade…WOW.  Let’s Recap 10 memorable events that occurred in the first decade of the 21st century:

  1. Y2K did not destroy the Earth and Aliens did not take over. Many people had to return their excess supply of batteries and bottled water. 2000
  2. September 11th Terrorist Attack worst terrorist attack on American soil-2001
  3. War on Afghanistan 2001
  4. War on Iraq 2003
  5. President Bush Reelected for 2nd term 2004

  10. Terrorist attack on U.S. Military Base, Ft. Hood 2009

Obviously, there were many more events that occurred in this past decade but if I sat here recounting all of them for you, I wouldn’t have time to clean the house…so if you want to share more events that I left out, feel free to do so with your comments!  Also, I am aware that Michael Jackson’s death didn’t make the list…oh well.

Not that it’s super interesting to anyone other than myself, but here’s the top 10 events that occurred in the life of Kelly Hupcey, founder of The Pursuit of Mommyness, in this past decade:

  1. Disappointed that Y2K was uneventful, returned my extra batteries and bottled water next day 2000

So what’s in store for this great nation of ours in 2010, you ask?  How the heck should I know!

What’s in store for The Hupcey’s in 2010?  Maybe baby?  I guess you’ll just have to stay tuned.  Happy New Years 2010 everyone!

What a decade huh? I look back and there’s no way that when I welcomed my first child in 2000 that I would have guessed that 10 years later, I’d have added 3 more! :) Those were my highlights, 2000, Diva was born, 2002, Brainiac was born, 2004 Stinkerbell and 2007 came Bossman. Life will never be the same! :D
Good luck in 2010!
